About
Two-storey rock-cut church on the Göreme-Avanos road, 2.5 km from Göreme. It was made in 964/965 after Emperor Nikephoros Phokas visited Cappadocia and shows portraits of the emperor, his wife Theophano and family members. According to the Ministry page it is closed for restoration.
