District of Çatalhöyük (UNESCO), one of the world's oldest settlements.
Çumra is a farming district on the Konya plain south-east of Konya. The roughly 9,000-year-old Neolithic settlement of Çatalhöyük, on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2012, is in the district, with excavation shelters and a visitor centre. The plain is known for sugar beet and grain.
