About
National park of 1,187 hectares in Kızılcahamam, about 80 km north of Ankara, declared on 19 February 1959. Its terrain, rising from 1,030 to 1,800 m, lies between the Black Sea and Central Anatolian regions, and most of its forest is Scots pine. About 160 bird species have been recorded; there is a 16 km walking trail and picnic and camping areas.
