About

Eğriova Nature Park is a 30-hectare protected area in the Beypazarı district of Ankara, lying at about 890 m above sea level; it was designated in 2011. The Eğriova plateau and its pond lie to the north, while Scots pine forests surround the park on the other sides. From Ankara it can be reached by a route of about 147 km via Beypazarı and Karaşar, or about 140 km via the Çamlıdere exit of the Ankara–Bolu motorway; the final stretch is a gravel road. Being small and limited in habitat diversity, the site has 83 plant taxa from 38 families, including the Ankara crocus, savin juniper, Armenian grape hyacinth and primrose. Grey herons, storks, kestrels, hoopoes, kingfishers, tawny owls and several frog and reptile species have been recorded. Facilities include toilets, a country restaurant, a kitchen, a rain shelter, tent accommodation and open-air event areas, suitable for picnics, walks, camping and events such as concerts and country weddings. According to the source, the park is closed because it has no operator, and opening to visitors is planned for 2026.
