Bursa City Museum

A municipal museum opened on 14 February 2004 in the former courthouse and treasury buildings designed in 1926 by architect Ekrem Hakkı Ayverdi in the First National Architecture style. Three floors cover the city's history from prehistory to the War of Independence, silk making, cuisine, bath culture and Karagöz; the lower level recreates a street of craft workshops.
