About
Founded during the reign of Alexios III (1349–1390) on the slope of Boztepe, the monastery is built on two terraces enclosed by a wall. It consists of a rock church with a holy spring, chapels and cells. It is open to visitors under Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality.
