Hacıbektaş, in northern Nevşehir, is home to the tomb of the 13th-century mystic Hacı Bektaş Veli. The complex can be visited as a museum, and the Hacı Bektaş Veli Commemoration each August brings thousands together. Handmade onyx and stonework are sold in town.
