About

Kuğulu Nature Park is in the Seydişehir district of Konya, on the road linking Konya and Antalya, 5 kilometres from the district centre; it was declared a nature park in 2018. It lies 105 kilometres from Konya and 220 kilometres from Antalya. Natural forest, woodland clearings, stream ecosystems and a cave give the site an undisturbed character and provide nesting, feeding and shelter for many animals. Conifers, broadleaved trees and shrubs change colour through the seasons, and naturally growing pyramidal junipers have survived here under protection. No endemic or threatened species have been recorded. Species living in the area include fox, wolf, wild boar, hare, partridge, pigeon, eagle and buzzard. The park has a restaurant and toilets, and visitors can picnic, walk, climb up to the cave, photograph nature and cycle; there is also a viewing terrace.
