Kadife Sokak is a short, lively street in Kadıköy, known locally as "Barlar Sokağı" (Bar Street). Pubs, bars and live-music venues have moved into the ground floors and gardens of old Kadıköy houses along it.

Quiet by day, the street comes alive from early evening and is at its busiest on weekend nights. It is a few minutes' walk from Kadıköy Market and Moda.

Getting there: take a ferry to Kadıköy pier or the M4 metro to Kadıköy, then walk over from the Bahariye side.
