Companies carrying out commercial air transport with balloons in Turkish airspace must be authorised by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM). SHGM's list dated 29 January 2025 contains 40 balloon operators with an address in Nevşehir; travellers can check that an operator appears on it before booking. SHGM's Nevşehir office is on the Kapadokya Vocational School campus in Mustafapaşa, Ürgüp.
