About
Kömürcübent Nature Park, in the Sarıyer district of İstanbul, is one of nine nature parks in the Belgrad Forest and was designated in 2011. It is named after Kömürcübent, the oldest dam in the Belgrad Forest, built by Sultan Osman II in 1620 on the Topuz Deresi. The small park, about 2.90 hectares, is reached by following the signs from the Bahçeköy entrance past the Neşet Suyu and Falih Rıfkı Atay nature parks. A deer breeding area adjoins the site. Oak and hornbeam are the dominant species, with ash and alder along the stream. Oriental beech, sessile oak, Quercus vulcanica, sweet chestnut, blackthorn, butcher's broom and Smilax excelsa are among the other plants. Red deer, red fox, wild boar, golden jackal, hedgehog, squirrel, tortoise, goldfinch and chaffinch live in the area. A stream runs through the middle of the park, which has picnic units, a country restaurant, a café, a kiosk, a prayer room and a children's playground. Forest paths are suitable for nature walks.
Entry hours (DKMP, October 2026): 08:00–20:00.
