Historic Asian-side district with Ottoman mosques and a shore facing the Maiden's Tower.

Üsküdar is the historic district at the southern mouth of the Bosphorus on the Asian side. The Mihrimah Sultan, Yeni Valide and Şemsi Pasha mosques, Çamlıca Hill and the Maiden's Tower just offshore are here, and the Salacak waterfront is known for its sunset views. Ferries run from Eminönü, Karaköy and Beşiktaş, and Marmaray and the M5 metro serve it.
