About
A Ministry museum in the soup-kitchen building erected in 1388 in memory of Nilüfer Hatun, mother of Sultan Murad I; it was restored and opened as a museum in 1960. Finds from prehistory to the Ottoman period are shown, including material from Ilıpınar, the Roman Theatre and the İznik tile kilns; capitals, sarcophagi and inscriptions stand in the garden.
