About

Ethnography museum in the Opera area, in a building constructed in 1925–1926 and opened to visitors in 1930. From November 1938 to November 1953 the building served as Atatürk's temporary tomb. Nine permanent galleries display Seljuk to Ottoman woodwork, manuscripts, calligraphy, tiles, metalwork, carpets, kilims and jewellery.
